Ales Stenar
Fifty-nine boulders in the outline of a ship, sixty-seven metres long, on a headland above the Baltic at Kåseberga. What Ales Stenar was for is still argued over — grave, cult site, or calendar.

Church of Old Uppsala
The church at Gamla Uppsala was Sweden's cathedral until 1273. What stands today is the fragment left behind — with an eleventh-century runestone in its wall that the church once cut down to serve as an altar.

Collected slowly, edited carefully.
This site is designed as a calm archive rather than a feed: fewer images, stronger rhythm, and enough space for each photograph to breathe.
